: Hi Brent, Make sure the coating you use will protect the epoxy coating from the sun. UV will cloud the unprotected epoxy. Sounds like you are in luck for the final coating of your boat.

: If your friend has all this equipment get him to spray your boat with a
: polyurethane clearcoat. The finish is much more durable and protects the
: kayak much better. Being in the furniture business he should be well
: versed in the use of polyurethanes.
