Mark;
Do you have any pictures? We than could see your workmanship and give you a better idea.
Dean is probable right about the low end on the price. I figured that if someone was interested in buy my boat I would make him or her make me an offer and if necessary negotiate to a bare minimum of $1500. But I was going to put it up on the market I would ask $2500, and work my way down.
The key to getting the top dollar is give it a quick wet sanding and a fresh coat of varnish to remove the season of scratches.
Just my 2 cents

: I must sell a Mill Creek 13 that I built a year ago to finance my next kayak
: building project. How do you set a price for a hand made boat? Given first
: class construction and craftsmanship and no defects, is it reasonable to
: expect to recover at least the costs of the materials? What about a small
: profit for labor? I have never sold anything like this and really don't
: know where to start. Any advise will be appreciated.
: Thanks....Mark
