: You can get pretty close by eyeballing it. To get a really tight joint in the
: end, you can drag a thin saw through the joint just before you tape the
: fiberglassed pieces together.

When adjusting the seams between two panels on a S&G kayak I use a large [6" wide] drywall "putty knife" with 120 or 150 grit sandpaper stuck on the thin metal blade with double-sided tape. I have one with sandpaper both sides and one with sandpaper on one side only.

Slide the papered blade between the panels and sand away. The angle between the joints is easy to see and control.

I have not tried this on a stripper yet [soon I hope] but it should work easier than on a S&G where the tension between panel can cause binding.

I'd be curious how well this works for bevelling strips. With the wider/softer wood [relative to 3mm luaun] a coarser sandpaper may do a quick job of fitting - you would be bevelling to faces at a time. Let me know how it works.
