Hi All,
Has anybody have experience using BEHR No. 45 SUPER SPAR Clear Gloss Varnish over epoxy?
I spoke to the technical support rep and he said that this product was designed for application to wood. He had heard of people using in on canoes but did not know if the varnish had been applied over epoxy. No commitment from the manufacturer, standard line: do a test and see.
I am looking for a substitute for the marine varnishes that are now running around $50 CDN a liter!
The BEHR No. 45 has a nice finish, UV inhibitors and is reasonably priced: $14 CDN a liter at Home Depot. This is the first product that I found that is called "varnish" and does not contain urethane [you have to read the tiny print on the cans].
Any comments? Suggestions?
Thanks,
Hank
