Erez, I did look at your website. The type of weatherstrip I used was not round. It was 5/16" thick and 3/4" wide. It is flat across the entire lip. I installed my spacer and lip seperately (thin plywood) which allowed the C shaped spacers and lips to follow the shape of the deck exactly.

The only thing that looks like a problem to me is the weatherstrip. Try some flat type self adhesive backed closed cell dense weatherstrip layed flat on the lip. Try laying it in one continous sweep around the curves and dont stretch it at all, not even a little or it will shrink at the butt ends. The butted ends should be tight. Roll one face of the butt back and lay a thin bead of super glue on it and let it go. This will weld the butted ends together. You may have to use a different thickness weatherstrip than I did. I have a slight reveal( about 1/16") of my hatches because I wanted the darker edge of the plywood showing a little. I like the looks of it better than a dead flush look which would be easy to do with a thinner weatherstrip.
