Mike has a good point! I tried a cabinet scraper for attacking runs, but found that I did better with utility knife blades. Hold the blade between thumbs and forefingers and drag across surface with the blade at a 90 degree angle to remove thin shavings of epoxy. This is a very good way of smoothing your first fill coat of epoxy before going your final fill coat. You can get an absolutely flat surface flat surface with a lot of control to avoid removing too much material.
