Hi Robert;

I did some of the strips on my deck by clamping them in place and then running a verrry thin bead of Instant Jet Cyanoacrylate along the seams. It was a test, and it worked fine. Normal sanding produced invisible glue lines, and epoxy went over it just fine. The Instant Jet wicks into the tightest of seams and dries mighty quickly, although that is not a concern for you.

You can find this stuff at any hobby shop, I bought a 2oz bottle and used perhaps 15% of it to do several strips. Similar products can be gotten over the internet from Hobbyco or Tower Hobbies in up to 8oz sizes. Just be sure it is super thin, made for wicking into joints.

Be sure to wear a respirator as that much glueing will produce lots of noxious fumes.

Hope this helps, Spidey
