I'm sure she'll be prepared. Star is probably the best female paddler here in West Michigan (and a Greenland-style paddler too), and she has as close to a bomb-proof roll as anyone. In fact, she talked at the WMCKA symposium this past Memorial weekend on the subject "why you should learn to roll."

I haven't checked the site yet for her gear list / itinerary, etc., but I know she paddles a Valkyrie by Betsie Bay Kayaks. It's a 17'x20.5" production stitch-and-glue kayak ($3000) and has perfectly flat decks in true Greenland style. It should be fun to pack that kayak for a Superior circumnavigation...
