...by rolling the kayak onto it's side, then onto the deck, to get the bulk of the water out. Once that's done, you can lift the ends alternately to remove most of the remaining water. Right the boat, then pump/sponge out the remainder. It ain't fun and it's a situation that's certainly better avoided.
