Thanks for the reply. To answer your question, the Isere is/was made by Pheonix. It is 14' 9" long and weighs only 28 lbs. It is a high volume fiberglass shallow V (I think) river touring kayak that has been around. People used it for sea kayaking before more dedicated designs were available. It is good to about class 3 whitewater due to its inability to turn quickly - reasonably flat keel line. Any other information about books on strip kayak building would be appreciated.
