Tell us more about your 18# whitewater play boats. I built my 5 year old an 11' kayak out of 1/8" ply and covered the bottom with 6oz glass. It came out @ 22#. I can't imagine trimming 4# from that weight while glassing inside and out. Give us some details, please!
