: I got a lead on an old frame for a 2-man skin-on-frame kayak that was never
: built up. The seller said it was from the 30s, made of varnished hardwood,
: and was in excellent condition. The price is certainly right, but is there
: any chance of actually finishing off this kayak and using it after it's
: sat stagnant for so long? What do you guys and gals think?

Mark, if the parts have been varnished and are still coated, then you probably have yourself a brand new antique. That is if you beat certain parties, who will remain nameless, to the punch. I would probably want to sand and recoat them, after 50+ years. Would be like finding a 32' Roadster in some old barn with around 10 miles on it. 8^)
Now, if you will email me, I can make sure that " Cloak " never gets his/her hands on it. 8^) Trust Me.........
