I agree with Ross. Be sure to enjoy the experience and dont rush. To that end I would recommend setting up the strongback/assembly area in a place that you can walk away from for a period. It will happen. I have my strongback set up in the attic and all the strips stored in place up there. My workshop on the other hand is the front half of what used to be the built-in garage.I have to get out of the way down there after a run. I put the bandsaw on wheels the first day I got it and I can tuck it and the planer and the router table out of the way double-quick. I rig up a small shop vac for dust collection. I started the project right after Christmas and went great guns until the beginning of May.That's when the outdoor work, the power boat I bought 2 years ago and left sitting in the yard and the Honeydew in general kicked in.The only problem at that point was a bunch of 1/4" cedar strips I cut for Pete Czerpak were on the floor.I still have to plane these but fortunately Pete has been busy with his Merganiser. My real stopping point was scarfing the 8' redwood I stripped into longer pieces but the little Japanese pull saw a la Spidey is just the ticket for strip cutting. I'm still mulling how to get a clean epoxy joint though. You only want the epoxy on the end grain. It's surgery. I'll work it out when I get started again. Enjoy the therapy and I'm glad you got the bandsaw tips. JJ.
