I've stripped my first kayak (Great Auk) with planed edges and it's been a great experience. Nick's book is spot on to follow. When I lined up the forms I did it to a centre line marked with a line from bow to stern along the strongback then used a plumb line on each one ( have a vertical line marked on each form ) to line them vertically. Don't have any doubts about your ability - this bulletin board is a great source of friendship and information. I found that there is always help at hand and I couldn't have got so far without it. I'm happy for you to correspond with me as a new builder. Are you drawing out the forms from a book or have u plans?
