Hi Julie,

It is only the "luer" type syringes that are hard to get (legally) ... these are the ones that have a hub that you can attach a needle to in order to inject a fluid into an IV line, or into the skin or vein. The type that is easy to get (legally) is called a "catheter tip" syringe ( or "toomey" syringe). These have a molded plastic tip with a larger orifice that is part of the syringe, and couldn't be used to inject into the skin (looks something like the tip of a cartridge of caulking material). Altough pharmacies and boat supply stores have the latter, a previous comment by someone suggested the farm supply stores as a good source with reasonable prices.
