: An item that I'm filing right next to the Leidy-Lids, is Dzus clips. Used for
: retaining aircraft inspection panels, they are very secure, take about
: half a turn with a penny or similar device to open. I'm thinking of
: under-curving my hatches with respect to the deck curvature, and pulling
: down on two sides with the Dzus clips. They are available in stainless
: steel and plastic. Might need a small cup epoxied underneath to guarantee
: water-tightness. My choice will probably be black plastic. I'll come back

TNX, Scotty Scotty; have yoy got a specific fastner in mind I am just starting my Glin-L double and have been thinking of using winged dzeus fastners on the bulkhead hatches. I have installed dzeus' into aluminnum but are not to sure aboutplywood.what kind of material are you using for a seal? it will be a while before I am ready for hatches but am always thinking ahead ,lrt me know how it works.
