Leave it an extra day just to be safe. Out west it's been warm, and I left my deck on the spreaders for 5 days. It didnt budge.
I just made the spreaders to the forms, and used the same spreaders on hull and deck. It was not difficult at all, and the alignment is very close. I'll have to spread the hull a little at the stern is all. I had to really force the deck into shape, too. I was suprized it didnt budge.
: Hi Shawn;
: . . . Except I didn't plan ahead and do both hull and deck at the same time!
: Only my hull is curing in that photo. My original plan was to set the hull
: for the final reference, then tape the deck in place while I glued up the
: coaming. I was concerned that the composite coaming, by the time it's
: solidly glued, will set the deck width permanently amidships. If I had
: thought it out from this perspective, I could have gotten them both (hull
: & deck) in one shot.
: I hope your 1-1/2 week hard cure time is conservative, I was hoping to pop
: 'em apart and get back to the deck in a couple of days! Maybe the Florida
: heat will lock up my hull quicker. I generally sand powder with a 12 hour
: cure time.
: Best Regards, Spidey
