:I worked in shake mills for several years in my mid twentys. I try to do all of the cutting of the strips in one session. when I mill the cove & bead I have the hose of a shop-vac that will suck the chrome off a '58 Cadillac 1" from the bit on my router table. Good safety glasses keep the sawdust out of my eyes when I'm sanding. When I first started working in the mill, it was a hot early October day in Forks, I wondered why the sawyer was wearing long johns and a hickory shirt with the sleaves buttoned and the zipper all the way up. Now I have a pretty good idea of why. today the temp is in the 80's and it will probably be one of the hottest days of the summer. If I'm gonna sweat I try to stay away from working with cedar. If you can keep the temp. down the stuff probably wont bother you so much
