Hi Dean;

You may want to still give it some time. When I was doing experiments with pigments for my coaming, I kept adding more and more with each test - Successive batches took longer & longer to cure, but most still did eventually cure - up to a point. When I had sufficiently mis-mixed my epoxy with too much "other stuff," it stayed runny forever. If yours has gelled, and it was mixed *thoroughly*, my experience says it should harden. I never produced a batch that gelled but didn't ultimately harden, if that is any consolation to you.

One hint that I was given by my glassing friend was to mix for 2 minutes, let stand for 1 minute, and then mix another minute. The chemical reaction that begins when it stands for a minute lets you mix it more thoroughly, or so it appears. I can even see a color change (it loses most of what little amber color it has) when it sits for a minute, even in batches up to 24oz.

Hey, worst case is that you have invented the new "tack shafts" that minimize loss of paddle in heavy sea conditions . . . ;-)

I bet a cup of coffee that it hardens fine, Spidey
