: Has anyone had good, bad, or indifferent experience with Craftsman table
: saws? How about the new Ryobi 3000??

I have an older one from the mid 70s. It has given good service over the years even with a crappy fence. I am about to buy an aftermarket fence for it rather than buy a new saw. Add a good blade (I have had good luck with the Freud blades) and it will do.

I bought it used from a guy that bought a new Shopsmith. He said the Craftsman burned the wood and had bad kick back so he sold it for $100. I realigned the blade to the miter guides and it has worked well since. I am building a set of the PALS to help realignment next time.
