Gary,
Once I finish my book for the second time, I may just start on my box beam. But to be honest...even though I have the itch to get started on my first kayak ... I MUST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SUN when it is here in Maine. Our summers are short enough and I don't plan to spend 1 minute in my garage or basement while the sun is in the air. I was out this morning in my commercial kayak (okay, I'll probably get rid of it after I finish my own kayak, but until then....) practicing my Eskimo roll. I finally got it! Ten times in a row...what a great feeling. Now, Mary's buggin' me to get her out into the sun in our little motor boat (she's now kayaker)...so gotta go ... but I'm takin' my book (The Strip-Built Sea Kayak" by Nick Schade. Later..... Mark
: You're not alone Dale. It's tough reading about all these launchings then
: trudging off to the basement. I'm forgoing several festivities this
: beautiful summer holiday weekend to concentrate on my wife's boat. Hope to
: have it launched in 2 weeks. Can't wait to get out of the basement and
: breathe without the repirator! We'll get there to enjoy at least some of
: the summer.
: BTW. Sharp lookin' boat!.
