In Response To: Question on displacement (Ed Walshe - Dublin)
: Hi, the DWL Displacement for the Guillemot is given as 215 lbs. I weigh 125
: lbs. Does this mean that the boat can carry up to 90 lbs in gear ??
: Probably a very basic question, but I hope someone can answer it.
: Thanks in advance.
: Ed Walshe
Yes, and the design displacement is so the waterline falls at a certain level. If you are 125 lbs, more of the boat will be out of the water, if you are more than 215 lbs, more of the boat will be in the water.
