I've built two boats in the past year, a Guillemot 17' and an 18'. The first took 250 hours and I spent 56 hours setting up and milling. The second boat also took 250 hours but was built with a stapless deck. I only spent 15 hours milling as I did not cove and bead all my strips and had very little setup time. The time I saved in milling and setup, I lost building with no staples. You have a ways to go but have fun!
