I guess we should have another board where we go off on tangents like the definitions/origins of words or the theory of evolution. As a lawyer with a degree in history, I like words and word origins - and "defenestration" has one of the more interesting origins of words I know (IMHO). Sorry it wasn't interesting to you.

Again, to Frits - congratulations on your new Merganser, however it was launched. It looks good. Please let us know how it handles - Merganser is one design I'm considering...

Someday soon, I'll start building a kayak, and may actually come here with a topical discussion, but until then, I'll just lurk - I've learned my lesson.
