: I have been paddling a coho for 3 years now and my paddling partner paddles a
: Capella. His Capella is plastic but the fiberglass ones are almost the
: exact same weight. I agree with most of what Berkley has stated. I was
: able to mount good thigh braces allowing me to be able to edge the Coho
: for quick turns, although not a quick as the shorter capella. The Coho is
: faster and does not weathercock, The skeg on the Capella solves the
: weathercocking. the Capella is 16# heavier than my Coho and this probably
: affects acceleration as I can come up to cruising speed quicker with the
: Coho. The Coho is easier to roll. The Capella is one of my favorite boats
: but the Coho is a more comfortable ride for me. It's initial stability is
: solid enough to fish from. The wind has little affect making corrective
: strokes or leans not necessary. I can paddle all day in any conditions
: without working hard to stay on course. It's just a joy to paddle.
