I have never tried this tape and glue method but just I finished the stiching and edge gluing process on my Arctic Tern Hull and I can not imagine how I would get the panels aligned without very strong wires. It is hard enough with hundreds of wires!!

BTW - I like the look of the wire holes in the finished hull. Looks more authentic.
