I use Dragonskin for fine work but the best thing I have found to remove a lot of foam by hand is a 7" resin bond sanding disc, 16-24-36 grit's These discs have a hard backing and are somewhat flexible. You put your finger thru the 7/8" center hole and drag the dics accross the foam. You cant wear them out carving foam. Find them at industrial distributors or welding supply stores.
