: I just finished stripping the hull on my kayak. Getting ready to turn it over
: and strip the deck. I'm wondering about the correct sequence of events
: after stripping the deck.
: Here is what I envision: 1. Pull staples and scrape, sand, fill exterior of
: hull and deck.
: 2. Remove hull and bottom from form and scrape, sand, fill interior of hull
: and deck.
: 3. Now, here is where I am not sure about. Do I glass the exterior or
: interior of the hull and deck first? What is the recommended procedure.
: Thanks
: John D. Nicks book recmondes the glassing of the out side first , but I poped mine off the forms then glassed the inside of both halves seamed them togeather then it gave me all the time I needed to work on the exterior. I did put a sealer coat of epoxy on the outside to add some stregnth to the shell I did this with the boat on the forms. I did not put an exterior seam of tape on the exterior joint but let the top cloth overlap the bottom cloth. Note * I did end up with some unwanted epoxy in my face&hair when I was working on the coming RICK
