Hi Larry, They're called Triglides. You can also get them from Seattle Fabrics if you can't find them locally.
Ladderlocks are the buckles commonly found on the bottom of a backpack shoulder strap connected to the piece of webbing that comes up from the hip belt. Also used on some packs where the load lifter strap comes down to the shoulder strap.
Also, I recommend against using nylon webbing. Nylon stretches when it gets wet. I used the nice thin, strong nylon stuff, which is ideal for every other purpose, but sucks for hatch hold down straps. You have to wet the straps and then re-tighten them before heading out or your hatches will leak. The polypropylene webbing (thicker) isn't as pretty, but it doesn't stretch and is also much more UV resistant.

: Lorne, There are little slide on thingy's that have three vertical bars III
: (with tops connected). I think they are called ladderlocks. When I use
: nylon webbing I cut it with a soldering gun with a flattened tip that is
: made for cutting or I have used a razor blade held with a vise grip. I
: heat the razor blade with a torch and cut the webbing. This sears the ends
: perfectly. I have found that the best webbing is the thinner stuff that is
: harder to find. The readily found thicker stuff is too stiff. I like
: 3/4" wide which is also harder to find.
