: Have you used this sealer for the primary seal coat of your boat, and what
: are it's characteristics? Thin? Drying time? Workability?

: I'm doing some work on an "8-Ball" ( Glen-L, fishing dingy ) for my
: brother and will be coating the hull parts. Is it ready to use out of the
: can, or need mixing, and how does it adhere to the later fibreglass coats?
: How does it compare to mixing the epoxy and squeegying it on? Any info
: will be appreciated. Thanks

I'll jump back in to say thanks to John, and to point Rehd to the little I know about this stuff which came from the Wooden Boat web site forum at http://media4.hypernet.com/cgi-bin/UBB/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro and search for CPES.

The purists argue that it makes bright work look plastic --- go figure --- but everyone seems to agree that it's good under paint, and it really bonds to the wood, supplying a good base for glass and epoxy if applied within 36 hours. Check it out there, too.
