Hopefully you took my remarks as a bit of tongue-in-cheek -- your craftsmanship is truly amazing.

If you don't mind the noise, keep the Festiva. I had one up to 145,000 miles before selling it to my brother and he ran it to 165,000 (on its original clutch!) before he sold it. I prefer quiet, so now I drive a new, more sound-absorbed Golf.
