: I've found for a beginner (me) the easiest thing was to precoat the wood once
: LIGHTLY with epoxy and a squeege, let it dry overnight, lightly sand, then
: lay on the glass and fill with epoxy. This method lets you fill the wood
: grains prior to starting the intense epoxying of glass cloth. I've done it
: both ways, this takes a little longer but is alot less stressful and
: forgiving of first timers mistakes.

I'm glad Bev brought this subject up. Your way of a light coat of epoxy was the way I planned on doing mine. I read it in one of the many articles, books, etc. that I've been studying. Wow, there are so many different ideas on how to do this. I hope this works out for me too.
