While I might change a few things abt Greg's design, let's compare:

aesthetic - clc UGLY bump protruding thru hole thru aft deck - greg's makes no mark

safety - knob and extra line above hull can grab or tie you up in the drink - greg's no prob. nothing to grab.

function1 - clc only retracts, gravity deploys - I think greg's works both ways (pushes and pulls)

function2 - clc has to be way at the back (or deep, deep hole) where will jump over heavy wave action - gregs can be placed easily anywhere esp closer to the cockpit so always in the water.

function3 - packing - if you decided to move the clc forward, it takes up way more space all the way thru the yak - gregs is slimmer and will allow easier access and the enclosed control line is flexible.

so send the $10 to greg
