FYI, I'm in the process of varnishing my 17' Guillemot. After 3 coats, I've used 1 qt. I'm planning on 6 and assume I will complete it in 2 qts.

: to buy a gallon, which sounds like a lot. The suggested varnish was
: Schooner varnish by Interlux, which I think is water based.
