I was getting at whether it'll work harden in use. I guess small deflections ok but larger would be prob.

I'm actually thinking abt the fitting on top of the skeg box and one on top of the skeg rotating slightly as the skeg is being deployed therebye always having a straight throw betw the two instead of a little bending. Like as you were glassing up the box, you laid a littl cylinder of plastic across the top, and when set up you drilled thru it having a little rotating cylinder. If you threaded it, you could screww in the attachm't. If leaking was an issue you could use your other idea - the bead - and a rubber housing would just snap over it sealing to the cable.

Conjecture anyway, might work.
