: I've just finished my first boat, a S&G. I want to get my feet wet in strip
: building but I decided I want some practice before I commit to a full
: strip project. I am interested in building a guillemont S&G hull with a
: strip deck. The plans have forms every 20 inches. On the forms I would cut
: out the sheer corners for sheer clamps, and round over the deck/deck edge
: corner for easier stripping. Is this possible or am I crazy to try? Thanks
: Ryan
We think it such a great building method that we're creating Merganser kits that you can build this way. Besides the hull panels and strips for the deck, you will get the temporary forms to insert into the hull for stripping the deck. We plan to be stripping a Hybrid at the Newfound Rendezvous in September.
