In Response To: Question for Spidey (Greg)

: Hi Spidey

: Lookig for your ideas/opinions on repairs.

: I waxed my boat last year. Now it's time to revarnish, lots of scratches
: after a river run this spring. I used carnuba wax. What's the best method
: of removing it before revrnishing?

: Also, with silicon wax, what would you use?

: Greg

I would recommend before doing anything, wiping down the kayak with clean rags or towels and lots of wax and grease remover you'll find at any automotive paint and body supply. And do the same again after sanding and before varnishing especially if there was silicone present at any time.
