I've just cut the forms for a Night Heron and my neighbor is about to start his. The Heron is narrower 20" versus 21". It is also 12" longer. I think people might be shying away, thinking that it lacks initial stability. I've paddled the Guillemot and found it very stable and comfortable. Since the Night Heron is based on these kayaks I figured it should be stable enough untill I get used to it.
