Has anyone stretched out one of those Truck Clubs to see if it will open enough to catch the front and rear lips of the cockpit. If so, put the long part into the cockpit and then cable or chain around it. They'd have to destroy the kayak to get it off, and what's the point. ????????? Not sure of the length and if it would fit, but, worth a measure.
