Darn good price if the lengths are reasonable and it is fairly clear. Dont worry about kiln dried, if its straight grain, you can saw it into strips and it will dry in a fairly short time if you put it up in warm place with plenty of air circulation. Black mountain in Portland was asking $2.25 a board foot this spring for kiln dried fairly clear boards (they had lengths up to 14' which is rare). The dealer up in Portage that advertises in Uncle Henrys has top quality cedar but I have heard he is pricey plus its one long haul up there from southern maine. If the dealer in the Maine woods is off of Rt 201 up near the forks, (it might be Embden) the wood was good quality a few years ago, but he charged a 25 cents premium for the long boards.
