I've used a Thule rack on three different cars now, with three different mounting adapters. Never any leaks with any of 'em, but on my old Mazda 626, the door seal tore a little bit every time I closed one of the rear doors, cuz the seal would stick to the bracket (I think the door was a bit misaligned - it was a tight fit). I used a little vaseline on the door seal whenever the rack was mounted. A bit messy, but it helped a bit. Even with that problem, there were never any leaks. Ken
: I'm just getting over the expense of the high class roof mount, and now I
: find the front seats of the Sidekick are wet after rain. Has anyone else
: had the experience? (PROFFESIONAL INSTALLATION) I've got some thoughts,
: like siliconing the gaskets, so they can slip past the foot, but I'm sure
: the problem has been solved by someone on the ELECTRONIC FRONT PORCH
: (kbbbs) Thoughts? TNX, Scotty
