Don't know why some of you can't access the photo on the BB.

As far as the weight goes: I used one layer of 6oz inside and out. 2 layers of 2" tape on seams. Did not fill interior glass. 3" bias cut 6oz glass over stem pieces. Applied 2 extra coats of epoxy on outside to smooth things out. 6 coats varnish. 1/4" thick cove and bead western red cedar strips (when I drilled for the foot braces they seem to have remained close to 1/4". My end pours were each 6oz of epoxy. Including the creature comfort seat and Yakima foot braces, it's 34 1/2lbs.

Is there a support group for those transitioning from builder to paddler?
