Lookin' for Petro-chemist ... 8^O

Hi Folks !

Got a little problem here. Been workin on my brothers "8"Ball, by Glen-L, and had it all stitched up and ready to seam, but, had to put it away last evening. Put a tarp over it, and used some wood blocks and a plastic gas can for weight to hold down the tarp. Well, my 7 yr. old grandson, and excellent helper, bumped the stands and the can tipped over. We didn't notice it till this morning, but, a little gas dripped out and found it's way through to the hull and left a stain about 6" wide and 1 1/2' long down the very center of the hull. It is bare wood and left a nice stain, inside and out. The gas evaporated, but, I'm sure that the stain will be staying there(oil/2cycle mix ). My question is, will anything stick to that spot now, in order to get the glass to stick later? Haven't sanded it yet, as It's still wired, so, don't know how deep it penetrated. Any ideas?? How much of a bother will it actually be?
