Hi Erez, I can't explain this as well as my buddy Pete Rudie, but epoxies (resins and hardeners) don't naturally come in nice, handy 3:1, 4:1, 2:1, 1:1 mix ratios. They're actually like 3.23423:1, 2.09234:1, etc. The epoxy distributors/manufacturers add reactive and non-reactive diluents to either the resin or hardener, or both to make convenient by-volume mix ratios.

It would depend more on whether the manufacturer chooses to add a diluent to the resin, or to a hardener, than what the final strength will be. There are so many different resins and hardeners out there, that it would be next to impossible to draw those kinds of generalizations.

Raka has a 5:1 mix that is stronger than their common 2:1 mix, but I don't think that's indicative of anything.
