Thanks, Spidey. This was terrific timing, too. Have been spending time trying to figure out how to put some sort of skeg on my North Bay to see if it'll keep the stern from skidding out as much as it does. The more I look at that huge "skeg" at the bow and the much smaller near-vertical area aft, the more I can explain the boat's behavior. Don't know if I really want to open my hull at the keel to install a plastic box, but the idea is solid, and there may be some options. Thanks for the idea!
