John First, you're past the denial stage...that's good! I think all of us have come to the firm conclusion that we're addicts of the worst sort...
Now on to the wrinkles: ypu can easily remove the myriad of wrinkles by getting a new, clean paint brush and gently using to tip to ease the waeve back into it's proper location. I buy wrinkled cloth in the remnants pile at my local glass outlet (it's the recycle and save money, too, mode) and have lot's of experience with damged glass worse then what you describe. So, take heart, roll the amount you need onto or into the yak, and got to it with your paintbrushes.
