Hello Ilene,

You will definitely have to build a crate for it in order for it to arrive undamaged.

I have used Forward Air to ship kayaks at a very reasonable rate - I would guess about $150 from Northern CA to NY.

: I am thinking about building a wooden kayak, a large touring boat (16-18
: feet), and want to know how I could ship the finished boat from Northern
: California to New York and how much it would cost?

: Any and all information will be very much appreciated
