I considered the osprey std. It's 15'9 by 24" .
the 15'9 is good for me, but I don't like the 24" , I think it's way to much for me (155 lb). I would narrow it, but pygmy don't sell plans, so the hell with them ! I'll find something else .
I'm considering a skin on frame. it's easy to adjust their dimentions, & then cover them with plywood or anything else.
does anybody have offset tables for the osprey std. ?
my email is FL_PELICAN@HOTMAIL.COM .
here are 3 books with instructions & plans for a SOF kayak:
The Aleutian Kayak
Wood and Canvas Kayak Building
Building a Jawbone Kayak
you can find them all in amazon.
& one more thing:
somebody here showed a kayak of his own design, he named it "sea spirit". I don't remember its dimensions, but check it out. he might let you use the plans & instructions. scroll down, it's not too far.
all the above is, ofcourse, in addition to the obvious: pygmy,clc,san-javier, & probably few more names I will be able to recall only AFTER I post this message 8-)

: I've got a CD Slipstream and would like to build something along the same
: lines: Medium chine, decent rocker, swede form 16x22-ish, (not too wide!)
: Ideal paddler weight in the 150-160 range, (medium height and shoes).
: Definitely going S&G due to time constraints!
: I wouldn't mind something a little shorter, say 15'?
: I've heard there's a Tern 14, but think I might be a bit large? Not sure
: about the hard chines here either.
: Open to any and all suggestions!
