: No kidding about the heat and Dookie trouble! I'm near the coast in L.A., but
: the difference in working time between now and March/April when we were
: building our first boat is amazing. Something that we've been doing is
: mixing up the dookie (resin + hardner, then wood flour) as fast as we can,
: then fill a syringe (maybe a ziplock bag wouldn't get too hot with smaller
: quantities) and put the leftovers in the freezer. When you need the
: leftovers, just put them in the bag/whatever while it's cold and stiff.
: It'll loosen up as it warms. It seems to double our working time. The only
: problem being a bit of a color change, the dookie gets a bit lighter
: colored after being in the freezer. No prob for internal fillets, but I
: was a bit concerned since we're filling the oursides of the seams on our
: Coho. The color change was no problem since it darkened as it warmed and
: cured.
