You might look at the CLC West River 162 and 164, the 162 for her and the 164 for yourself. You can build both from the same set of plans, although they will want a royalty payment for the second boat or you can get the kits. This way, what you learn on the first boat, you can apply to the second. Of course, she gets the second(better) one{g} .
